Oooohhhhh how I love a field of Queen Anne’s Lace. I visit the same patch every year and grab my share, clippers in hand…. People staring at me all weird and perplexed as to why I am there cutting “weeds” and hauling them off to my car. As per usual, I just smile and move on.

It’s a divine time of year with all of the most beautiful flowers coming into bloom. As most of you know, I’m smitten about lilacs so here we are … some freshly cut lilacs placed in an old casserole dish and a bunch of snaps to show how much fun I have taking photos of them and let’s not forget lilacs have the most magnificent scent To those people that are allergic to them, here is the perfect way to enjoy them. Every year I look forward to clipping some of our Elm tree branches, right before the leaves begin to unfurl as there are pretty seed pods all along the branch. I did some research on these pods and according to @foragerchef these pods are edible!!! Huh, who knew? For now I’ll be happy to put some branches in a vase and enjoy looking at them.

Flower Pressing 101 ~ Thought I would give this flower pressing thing a whirl. Thank you @elaynewandler for this wonderful treat. I think I’m going to really enjoy this delicate past time.
