As summer is coming to a close, I wanted to make sure I share this “official” video, from our shoot for @westernliving . The combination of styling, shooting and working with absolutely incredible people “filled my cup”. Thank you to my friend and client, Bonnie from @gildandco for bringing so many beautiful props and helping me set the scene. I had the pleasure of travelling to Connecticut and Boston, on assignment for @houseandhomemag twice with @kimberlyjoneslifestyle and this year, with the project complete, I am already missing the East Coast. As Autumn draws near, I thought I would share with you the exterior of Kim’s own personal home, here, shot through my camera. I look forward to showing you the interior in my next post. Hope you get some inspiration and perhaps those crisp, autumn feels from this post.

It rained here the other night and my sad hydrangeas were drooping…. So what to do but shake off all the water so that they at least have a chance to bounce back. If all else fails, snip a bunch and bring them inside to enjoy.

I thought I’d give sugaring edible flowers a try

I thought I’d give sugaring edible flowers a try and so here is my attempt…. It was definitely fun! All you need to do is either use a water colour brush or (I preferred to use my finger) to apply the egg white wash and then sprinkle fine sugar to cover and then shake off. Set aside for a couple of days to dry and there ya go. Make sure that they are fully dry and hardened before storing away. These pretty things keep for several months in an airtight container. Some edible flowers that are good to sugar are: Chive Blossoms, Nasturtiums, Marigolds, Pansies, Roses, Honeysuckle, Bee Balm, Squash Blossoms, Chamomile. Have fun!

After a few days back home from our Oregon Coast trip, I’ve taken some time to settle in and relax, which included a little hiatus from IG. But today, I finally got around to creating a second reel that encapsulated the last half of our trip… which included spending time with family, visiting more beaches and lots of coastline. We stayed at some fabulous places along the way @headlandslodge @willowslodgewa @wildflower_gb @hotelgrandstark As I fall back into my daily routine, I feel refreshed and look forward to what the rest of what summer has to offer. One of the best parts of a trip is coming home and seeing Vinny. Thank you for following along.
