Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! As I reflect on my blessings, I'm grateful for my loving family, comfortable home, a job I love, and these cute pears that somehow make me incredibly happy.

Ahhhh shooting this kitchen for @sarahmarieinteriors was a dream. It boasts so many features that I would like to switch out in my kitchen…. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kitchen but sometimes most of us get inspired by other things…. Like this “leathered textured” finished black and white marble, the brass accents and lights. Who knew I would go a little more modern in my taste. Anyways, thank you Sarah for such a fun trip that we took in order to capture such a beautiful home. I can’t wait to show you more of it in a future post.

“Autumn Feels” for me includes getting cozy with a warm bowl of soup. I recently came across @essen_paradies Roasted Pumpkin and Tomato Soup recipe and gave it a whirl. I switched it up by putting on homemade roasted croutons, just for crunch. Let me know if you give this soup a whirl.

I wanted to share this cozy home, designed by @nicoletipperdesign ~ ………. I just love the archways, textured stone walls, tiles and just the natural aesthetic this home boasts. I would love to hear your favourite detail.

I have to say that this cozy kitchen has got to be the most smallest kitchen that I have shot so far. The homeowner is a dietitian and needed a kitchen design intended to be used for the preparation and cooking of food, is capable of being well stocked and most importantly, is well organized. I think the homeowners, in whom designed it, nailed it! No doubt the inspiration was from @devolkitchens

He knows just what to do to melt my heart when I leave for the day, but his happiness when I walk back through the door is everything.

I recently shot a home for @hitqualityconstruction

I recently shot a home for @hitqualityconstruction which was located in Whistler, B.C. I jumped to the opportunity to not only photograph this home but help style it. The house was a beautiful log chalet and was full of architecture detail. This one needed to be captured appropriately. Over the years, l’ve been labelled as a “bright and airy” photographer but it’s important to recognize that when a space shouts to be captured in a more subtle and moody direction, you have to make sure you are capable of getting the job done. I really enjoyed the change and think it’s good to show versatility when it comes to my photography. When it came to styling, Syndi and James gave me full rein to help them make the home come to life.... With a U-Haul full of props and some of my own stuff, we made it happen. Even improvising by using a lemon squeezer in place of a small wooden spoon for the bath salts worked out. As of late, I have been happy to not only photograph but also be part of the styling team. To see a vision come to life, no matter the space, every little object placed perfectly, counts. Thank you Syndi and James for the opportunity.
